Owning a Jeep isn’t like owning any other car. Jeep owners are part of a deeply passionate community with a long history. That’s why, in celebration of their 75th anniversary, Jeep has begun a worldwide digital campaign inviting fans in Medford, MA and beyond to share their Jeep stories.
“Our Super Bowl campaign firmly acknowledged ‘We Don’t Make Jeep, You Do,’” said Olivier Francois, CMO of FCA Global, “recognizing that the rightful ownership of the brand resides uniquely with its fans, followers, and owners. ‘My Jeep Story’ will help bring life and pay tribute to the true spirit and humanity that has come to embody the brand.”
The campaign will run throughout the year, and every month will feature a theme called a Story Session, highlighting key aspects of the Jeep experience from “Summer Fun” to “Military Appreciation”.
Share your stories at www.Jeep.com/myjeepstory, or over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram when you use the hashtag #myjeepstory. You can also see other Jeep owners’ stories, including some you may recognize. Musician Ciara has shared her story about her Jeep Wrangler, from how it connects to her father’s military history to how it helped her get started as an artist.
When the job is tough and dirty, a full sized pickup is normally the best solution. However, these trucks can take a toll on their owners’ pocketbooks, which is why pickup truck drivers in and around Medford, MA need to be sure that they are getting the very best performance and capability for the price.
Thankfully, U.S. News & World Report has done the research for them this year in finding the best full-size truck for the money. It’s no surprise that the impressive 2016 Ram 1500, with its low long-term ownership costs, took home 1st prize for the third year running.
Jamie Page Deaton, Managing Editor at U.S. News, noted that “the Ram 1500 gives buyers a first-class ownership experience, with a luxurious interior and performance that’s capable enough for traditional truck tasks, but comfortable enough for everyday driving.” This versatility helped the 2016 Ram 1500 sweep the competition.
In terms of safety, very few mid-sized sedans can compete with the 2016 Chrysler 200. That’s why the 2016 Chrysler 200 was given a Five-Star safety rating by the NHTSA and was also awarded the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ this year.
Reserved only for the safest vehicles available, both the IIHS and NHTSA awards hold an extreme amount of weight in the automotive industry and only the safest models receive both.
Performed on the AWD model, the 2016 Chrysler 200 received five-stars in NHTSA the side crash test and four-stars in the rollover crash test. Standard safety equipment tested includes:
Eight airbags, including driver and passenger knee airbags
Electronic stability control
Both the 2016 Chrysler 200 Limited and S models come standard with a rearview camera, but only the Limited edition includes a blind spot monitoring system designed to help you keep your focus on the road ahead.

Is it time to upgrade to a larger vehicle for your growing family in the Boston area? Chrysler has reinvented the Pacifica for the 2017 model year, and the results are ideal for drivers in need of more cargo space, advanced safety technology, and enhanced fuel efficiency. The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica may look like a minivan, and provide the comforts of a family vehicle, but it’s designed with contemporary styling and drivability in mind.
Exact specifications aren’t available yet, but details on the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica have emerged. New features include:
Available as a hybrid with two electric motors complementing the 3.6L V6 engine
The new Pacifica is wider, lower, and lighter than the outgoing Town & Country
A new 8.4-in. touchscreen to control audio, navigation, and smartphone functionality
UConnect theater system added to the back seats with a 10-in. HD touchscreen
A 6-speaker audio system is standard, but there will be upgrades available for Alpine and Harman Kardon sound systems
Revised Stow ‘n Go ® seating with seats that can tucked into the floor
Panoramic sunroof and hidden vacuum are also available
Chrysler will say good-bye to the Town & Country in 2017, but drivers used to seeing the staple of the upscale minivan market in Boston shouldn’t despair. The new Chrysler Pacifica will fill a similar niche, while offering more than a few improvements over the Town & Country.

After what felt like years of speculation, Jeep is re-entering the pickup market in 2017 with a Wrangler-based truck. Jeep has long toyed with the idea of returning to a segment it has not participated in since 1992, but the speculation is finally put to rest with Jeep confirming a new pickup truck for 2017.
The last time drivers in the Boston area saw Jeep produce a pickup truck, Bill Clinton was about to take office and Super Nintendo was only one year old. The Jeep Comanche was available to drivers from 1987 to 1992 with three engine options, three transmission options, and two bed options.
Exact specifications on the new 2017 Wrangler-based pickup truck aren’t available, but the newest addition to the Jeep lineup will likely be more powerful than the 2.5L four-cylinder engine that produced only 117 HP for the 1987 Comanche. It’s also more than likely that the new Jeep pickup will be paired with a similar aluminum-alloy body as the Wrangler will get for the 2017 model year.
The new pickup won’t even start production until late 2017, but Mopar still offers a JK-8 conversion kit to add a truck bed to a Wrangler. If you’re looking to update your Jeep Wrangler with a truck bed and body, contact our team and ask about the JK-8 conversion kit.

Having an engine stall can be panic-inducing and embarrassing, the degree of each usually depending on the speed of the vehicle at the time. Every Boston area driver needs to know what to do when an engine stalls while driving, especially at highway speeds.
There are varying reasons why an engine might suddenly stall while driving, including a lack of gas, or failure of the alternator or fuel pump, but the best solution is to get your vehicle checked out by a professional.
Here’s what you need to know about what to do when your engine stalls.
When your car stalls, you will lose power steering, and it will become very difficult to steer the car. Take care, don’t panic, and keep in mind the air bags may also have been deactivated.
Put the car into neutral and turn on the hazard lights.
Slowly coast onto the shoulder or right-most lane of the road.
If your car is not completely disabled, continue to drive along the shoulder until you reach a safe place to stop.
Apply the brakes incrementally, but do not remove your foot from the pedal. If your vehicle is equipped with power brakes, these will fail, and you will not have another opportunity to apply the brakes. Use the emergency brake if necessary.
Winter is coming! No it’s not just a phrase from a television show. Winter actually is coming, sooner rather than later. Winter months are the most stressful months on a car, and drivers in and around the Boston area know how difficult it can be. With these helpful tips, you can make sure that your car isn’t put through the wringer this year.
Service Your Vehicle Before It’s Too Late
If you need an oil change or a tune up, it is in your best interest to do so before the cold hits. This will keep your car running smoothly after it has been sitting in the cold for extended periods of time.
Make Sure to Warm Up Your Car
Warming up your car for at least a minute or two before you leave is an incredibly important aspect of winter driving. Yes, it might be a waste of gas, but more important is making sure the oil is warm. When the oil in your car gets cold it settles to the bottom of the pan reducing the amount of lubrication that reaches the engines integral parts. Warming up your car for a few minutes will ensure that your car’s oil is properly lubricating all of the engine’s parts.
Make a Bottle of Vinegar and Water Solution
Believe it or not, keeping a bottle of one-part vinegar to three-parts water solution in a spray bottle in your car is an easy way to rid your windshield of ice and frost without having to wait for the ice to melt.
Raise Up Your Windshield Wipers
The winter is also incredibly hard on your vehicle’s windshield wipers. Using your windshield before they unfreeze can greatly reduce their life. A simple solution to this is to raise them up when you leave your car. This way your wiper blades won’t rip off after being frozen to the glass.
Keep An Emergency Kit
With the winter comes an increased risk of danger. Keeping an emergency supply kit with you will help you to handle almost any situation that might arise.
For more information or tips on how to prepare your vehicle for the winter or any of the additional services we provide, please don’t hesitate to contact us here or call us at (781) 391-8950.
